District 118 Announces Excellence in Training Awards

The Danville General public College Foundation, in cooperation with the Danville Neighborhood Consolidated Faculty District 118, are delighted to announce the 2022 Dr. David L. Fields Excellence in Educating Awards recipients. They are:


Kim Fraser, Danville Higher School

Erin Bergeron, North Ridge Center College

Karin Klett, South Perspective Upper Elementary College

Emily Carter, Northeast Elementary Magnet University
Amber Tutwiler, Edison Elementary Faculty


The Dr. David L. Fields Excellence in Instructing Awards are bestowed on superb lecturers who stand for the very best in educating and demonstrates continuing commitment to their career and to their learners.

The Danville General public College Foundation is very pleased to sponsor these awards. Established in 2001, they are named for Dr. David L. Fields, a 1953 graduate of Danville High Faculty, who retired as the Danville Superintendent of Educational facilities immediately after a 40-year job with the District as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. He later served 10 many years on the Illinois Condition Board of Education and learning and is presently a Director of the Danville Community School Basis.


At the Board of Education’s meeting on Thursday, June 2, 6:30pm, these instructors will be formally regarded for their accomplishment. Along with the official recognition, the Foundation supplies a $500 hard cash award, the District provides $500 in educational supplies for the teacher’s classroom and the Danville Instruction Association provides an engraved paperweight acknowledging their accomplishment.
